Bookkeeper

Description

We are hiring a skilled Bookkeeper who will be responsible for the collection and recording of company financial data within the general ledger. Minimal communication with patients may be necessary to provide Accounts Receivable information if the Insurance Biller needs assistance. Various financial reporting is provided to management on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis as needed. The bookkeeper may assist with basic business filings and record keeping as well as certain HR functions & reporting for management. This role may be assigned more duties from time to time by management.


The Bookkeeper is expected to portray excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills. Additional skills that we look for: detail oriented; ability to use time productively; works well with others as a team player; flexible and reliable.


Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

•   Maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance

•   Balancing accounts by reconciling entries

•   Reconciling receivables with patient scheduling billing system

•   Maintaining general ledger by recording subsidiary account summaries

•   Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends; distributing appropriate reports to other departments to ensure communication

•   Compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by working with the CPA and management; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions

•   Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed or as assigned by the Business Manager

•   Following the HIPAA guidelines regarding the patient confidentiality and privacy


Experience

Minimum two years Medical Bookeeping experience preferred
