Opticians consult with Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, and Physicians to dispense the appropriate eyewear for patients. They should have a good understanding of the equipment, lenses, frames, and new technology used in optometry. Applicants are expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all patients and medical staff. We are looking for seasoned professionals to join our team and become a valuable member of our well-established practice.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

•   Repairing, adjusting, and dispense prescription lenses and frames

•   Taking optical measurements and evaluating patients for assistance in lens design

•   Interpreting  prescriptions and assisting patients in selecting appropriate eyewear

•   Instructing patients on how to clean and handle eyewear

•   Maintaining proper inventory of materials and supplies

•   Maintaining patient confidentiality

Two years of optical experience in dispensing and/or a optical laboratory

ABO certification
