Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Our busy medical practice is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join the team. The Technologists are responsible for applying the skill of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures through the safe and effective use of radionuclides. Candidates must be detail-oriented, be able to use time productively, and also enjoy variety in the work they do. They are expected to assist the practice in delivering the highest level of operation and clinical standards. This is a great opportunity for professionals with an in depth knowledge of surgery center functions and strong computer skills.


Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

•   Providing proper comfort and care to patients prior to, during, and after a procedure

•   Preparing the patient for an examination by verifying patient identification and obtaining their pertinent patient history

•   Properly administering the appropriate radiopharmaceuticals

•   Positioning the patient for imaging, adapting the protocol to patient limitations, and obtaining images

•   Reviewing images to ensure the required information has been collected, processed properly and is of the highest quality

•   Assisting in cardiac stress tests procedures when performed in conjunction with nuclear medicine procedures

•   Administering diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of an authorized user in accordance with all federal, state, and institutional guidelines


Experience

Minimum of one year experience preferred


License/Certification

Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or CNMT​
